I was born and educated in York. After a brief spell in printing I decided to pursue a career in financial services. After working my way up to branch manager with an investment broker I was approached by Hambro Life which I joined in 1980. After two or three name changes the company became Openwork and I ran my own practice within the company for over 30 years, until 2012 when I joined Joanne Gott Associates. I now specialise in giving advice on protection and general insurance.
My interests include cars, motor cycling, running, keeping fit and singing.
